GBE Foundation is a non-profit organization which provides scholarships to young, talented, underprivileged students from Central Europe to help fulfill their dreams of studying in the United States and around the world.

Since 2007, we have selected, sponsored and mentored high school and university students from Slovakia and Ukraine who have studied and excelled at high schools and universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Hong Kong and other global locations.

In addition to providing scholarships to our students, we also give them the confidence to succeed at top schools globally. We strongly believe that attending a school abroad is a great, cost effective tool to kickstart young talent by:

Improving foreign language
Experiencing global educational systems and cultures – a true eye opener
Gaining exposure to top university recruiters/coaches – a chance to change lives

We are very efficient with our funds. Over 90% of funds raised go directly to students. We believe in spending money on the main cause – our talented individuals.

For example, each student’s study in a U.S. high school costs roughly $10,500 per year:

$8,500 in student agency and government fees
$1,500 in airline tickets
$500 visa and admin fees
Note: remaining key costs (room & board) are covered by a U.S. host family selected by a partnership student agency and local school with the assistance of GBE Foundation
